Two-inch clear tape is the standard for sealing corrugated cartons with a handheld dispenser. Each roll holds 120 yards of 2 mil acrylic tape, and a case of 36 rolls keeps several packing benches stocked at once.
Common uses
- Sealing the top and bottom seams of standard corrugated shipping boxes
- Fulfillment benches using standard 2" handheld tape guns
- Closing moving and storage boxes
- Reinforcing carton seams before stretch wrapping a pallet
For larger cartons or an H-tape pattern on heavy boxes, the wider 3" clear packing tape covers more seam per pass. Running an automatic case sealer? Use the 2" x 1000 yd machine roll.
